Five Things You Can Do in the Winter to Get Ready For Spring

Many individuals go through most of the winter season wishing that spring would hurry up and come but then when spring comes they are not prepared and spend much of the season getting everything ready for summer. This does not leave much time to actually enjoy the season that has been waited for so long. When spring comes you want to be able to get right out there, enjoy the weather, plant your gardens, start having picnics, and taking time to breath in the fresh air and the sweet smell of the flowers. You do not want to spend those beautiful days doing your spring cleaning or fixing your lawn mower so you may want to take care of a few of those things before hand. Here are five different things that you can do before the spring season and warm weather comes so that you do not have to do them when you would rather be outside enjoying the weather.
Repair Lawn Care Equipment - There is no better time to repair your lawn care equipment than the winter time when you are stuck in the house more often. If your garage is unheated you may want to purchase a small space heater in order to keep warm when you're repairing such things as lawn mowers, weed eaters, and trimmers. Doing this will have you already to get outside and make your lawn beautiful as soon a spring hits and grass begins
to grow plus it will give you something to do on all those long winter days
Go Through Summer Clothing - Before spring hits it is a good idea to go through your summer clothes so that you can figure out what you have and what you will need to buy. This also allows you to get rid of things that do not fit anymore and you can donate them in time for others to get them by spring as well.
Complete Inside Repairs - There is no better time to complete indoor household repairs than the winter months. By doing this you will have plenty of time during the spring to worry about any outdoor repairs you may want to complete. When spring comes you probably would much rather at least be outside when you have to work on your home.
Prepare Planting Soil - If you prepare your planting soil during the winter months it will be ready to go when sprig comes. You will probably want to do this toward the end of winter that it doesn't get too much in the way. Fill all of your planters with soil and purchase and seeds you intend to plant and you will be ready to go.
Spring Clean - Do all of your spring cleaning at the end of the winter season and as soon as warm weather comes you will be able to pop open your windows and let the fresh air in.
