No one likes to find the appearance of wrinkles and frown lines around the eyes. Most people think that getting wrinkles around the face and eyes is just a part of the aging process that has to be accepted gracefully or treated with cosmetic surgery. In fact there is a lot that you can do to prevent facial and eye wrinkles from happening if you know what basically causes them to appear.
There are three main reasons why you might get wrinkles and someone else does not. One is to do with the kind of food you eat, second is your general environment and third is your habitual facial expression.
Without good nutrition, your skin can age before its time, leading to the appearance of wrinkles. You need to maintain a good level of hydration in your body which simply means drinking enough water to help your body transport nutriments to the skin to nourish it, and to allow toxins to be flushed away. When you do not take in enough fluids, you become dehydrated - and that tends to make your skin look tired and old. You can improve the appearance of your skin and discourage wrinkles easily simply by making sure that you drink plenty of water every day. Eating healthy food and drinking plenty of water is one of the best ways to keep wrinkles at bay.
You can also cause the onset of wrinkles by exposing your skin to an unhealthy environment - which might be pollution in the air, the most common being smoking, and emissions from vehicles, or excessive exposure to bright sunlight, with ultra violet radiation damaging the skin, working in poorly air conditioned
offices, and toxic cosmetic products. Keeping your skin thoroughly clean can give your skin relief from pollutants – but the cleansing process itself, can often be, with soaps, very drying to the skin. You will need a range of products that will clean and moisturize your skin.
The expression on your face is usually a reflection of how you are feeling and your emotional response to what is happening in the world. If you are a happy and responsive person, then very likely your face will always be changing, from smiles of joy, to frowns, and when you keep your facial muscles active, this helps your skin to remain flexible and healthy. When you have a sad or fixed expression, or look disgusted most of the time, the muscles in your face tend to set in a fixed pattern, and it is the constricted muscles in your face that help to make lines and wrinkles appear. There are fifty three facial muscles that give you a range of facial expressions, and all these muscles need to be regularly used to keep your facial features looking fresh and healthy, helping to prevent the formation of furrows and wrinkles.
So, it will help to discourage the formation of wrinkles around the eyes, the mouth and nose, or furrows on your brow, if you firstly make sure to eat healthy food and drink a lot of water. If you then take care to minimize your exposure to pollutants and allow your facial expressions to be a mirror of an optimistic mood this will keep your facial muscles active which promotes a good blood supply to your skin which makes your skin more healthy. When you actively use all of your facial muscles each and every day – your skin will look more radiant – and wrinkles will fade away.
