Searching For Car Insurance - Why Bother?
Vehicle insurance (also known as auto insurance, car insurance, or motor insurance) is insurance purchased for cars, trucks, and other vehicles. Its primary use is to provide protection against losses incurred as a result of traffic accidents and against liability that could be incurred in an accident.
The need for these insurances are based solely upon states and countries for example:
In the United States, auto insurance covering liability for injuries and property damage done to others is compulsory in most states, though enforcement of the requirement varies from state to state. The state of New Hampshire, for example, does not require motorists to carry liability insurance (the ballpark model), while in Virginia residents must pay the state a $500 annual fee per vehicle if they choose not to buy liability insurance. Penalties for not purchasing auto insurance vary by state, but often involve a substantial fine, license and/or registration suspension or revocation, as well as possible jail time in some states. Usually, the minimum required by law is third party insurance to protect third parties against the financial consequences of loss, damage or injury caused by a vehicle.
Some states, such as North Carolina, require that a driver hold liability insurance before a license can be issued.
Arizona Department of Transportation Research Project Manager John Semmens has recommended that car insurers issue license plates, and that they be held responsible for the full cost of injuries and property damages caused by their licensees under the Disneyland model. Plates would expire at the end of the insurance coverage period, and licensees would need to return their plates to their insurance office to receive a refund on their premiums. Vehicles driving without insurance would thus be easy to spot because they would not have license plates, or the plates would be past the marked expiration date
Many people now days will ride without Car Insurance because they claim to say they "save money". But when we put it into perspective you are losing every time you drive without insurance. Lets say for example you would have to pay $1,500 a year for your vehicle to be insured and to insure others.
Lets say now you drive without car insurance for 15 years and never have a problem. But inevitability strikes and you t-bone a vehicle with 2 elderly women inside. One ends up just breaking her arm but the other is badly injured and it's your fault.
1st off you will no doubtly be escorted to jail for not having insurance but lets take the costs into consideration now that YOU will be liable for. Lets count you will be paying for their town car which costs $25,000 dollars appraised after usage they will receive $15,000 dollars. For the woman with the broken arm.
You will be paying for her doctor bill of $9,900 and pain and suffering of $20,000. For the woman that was badly injured she spent 2 weeks in the hospital at $500 a day for the room and $1,500 a day for medicine and the hyped cost of medical care in the United States.
Now shes going to receive $150,000 in pain and suffering.
Does it seem like this is going to end? Nope. Now you have lawyer fees on both sides, because you will lose the case but you hire a lawyer so you don't end up going to jail for 2-3 years for driving without insurance. So now your paying $7,000 for your lawyer and $10,000 for her lawyer.
Shall we ring up your total?
15,000 + 9,900 + 20,000 + 7,000 + 16,000 + 150,000 + 7,000 + 10,000 = $234,900 in damages and in the end you still end up serving a year in jail for reckless driving without insurance.
Does this seem worth it for saving a messily $22,500 in the end? I would personally say no it's not. But as this may seem like a scare tactic it's not meant to be so. This happens to nice and caring people like you every single day. This is not a rare case.
Although these figures may not be totally accurate. It's guaranteed that you will always be on the losing side because carrying Car Insurance is a LAW. Not something to be ignored it's placed for the good of all. But there are tips & tricks for every single person in any situation to lower insurance rates.
So do your research and stay out of trouble.
